2012-2013 NCAA College Bowl Game Schedule: Who's Playing, Television Schedule

The College Bowl Game season is under way. 

The University of Iowa may not be going to a postseason bowl game for the first time since 2000, but there are plenty of intriguing football bowl games on the schedule this year. We've got your complete list here, along with notes on teams featuring players who played their prep ball in Iowa. BCS National Championship Game, Notre Dame vs. Alabama

January 7, 7:30 p.m., ESPN

Rose Bowl Game presented by Vizio, Stanford vs. Wisconsin

January 1, 4 p.m., ESPN

Former Linn-Mar standout David Parry, of Marion, is a backup at defensive tackle for the Stanford Cardinals. Sam Raridon, a West Des Moines Valley senior, has committed to Wisconsin. Zach Davison, who attended Waukee, is a junior tight end on Wisconsin.

Cedar Rapids Kennedy grad Christian French is a defensive back for Oregon Ducks. French was drafted as a tight end but has converted to defense since arriving at Oregon. Jesse Ertz, a Mediapolis senior quarterback, has committed to Kansas State.

Outback Bowl, Michigan vs. South Carolina

January 1, noon, ABC

Amara Darboh, who played at West Des Moines Dowling, is a freshman wide receiver for the Michigan Wolverines. He did not play this year.

Capital One Bowl, Georgia vs. Nebraska

January 1, noon, ABC

Ben Cotton, a former Ames High standout, is a senior tight end for Nebraska.

Heart of Dallas Bowl, Purdue vs. Oklahoma State

January 1, 11 a.m., ESPNU
