5 Things For Johnston Thursday: Singing, Swimming and Snow

There's a decent chance of snow today. How much do you think will fall? In the meantime, take a look at what's happening around town.

Book Club
The Adult Book Club meets from 6:30 to 7:45 p.m. in the East Meeting Room of the library.

Ambassador Meeting
The Ambassadors will host an end of the year meeting at starting at 5 p.m. The meeting is a wrap-up for the 2011 Ambassadors. Chamber members interested in becoming a 2012 Ambassador are welcome to join.

Boys Swimming
The Johnston Dragons boys' junior varsity and varsity swim teams take on Ames at 6 p.m at the pool.


Vocal Concert
The fourth- and fifth-grade music classes present their winter concerts. Fourth-grade students start the night at 6:30 p.m., followed by the fifth-grade students at 7:30 p.m. in the school's gym.

Weather
Expect mostly cloudy skies today with a 40 percent chance of light snow with a high in the high 20s. Snow is expected to continue into the evening with a low at 15 degrees.
