Johnston After Prom Committee Seeks Volunteers, Donations

The annual, safe After Prom event will be held following prom April 14.

With a little more than a month before prom, parents are gearing up for post prom activities.

The After Prom Committee is looking for volunteers for the evening, as well as donations to pay for the event.

The annual prom celebration is Saturday, April 14. The dance will be followed by a safe, fully supervised, substance-free, all-night celebration β€” After Prom.

The all-night event is open to all juniors, seniors and their guests, even if they did not attend the dance.

The event, which is fully paid for through donations, features food, drinks, games, prizes and entertainment.

The After Prom Committee is asking Johnston families and businesses to consider donating $35 per student to help cover the costs of the event.

If you are able, an extra donation could help families that are unable to give to the event.

In addition, the committee is seeking volunteers the night of the event. A variety of positions are needed.
