Ag Briefs: "Fed Up" farmers raise fertilizer collusion concerns to USDA (wisfarmer.com) — Johnston just hosted more than 170 farmers from 13 states for a "Fed Up" hearing where they pressed USDA officials about alleged fertilizer price collusion and soaring input costs. Iowa Corn Cy-Hawk Series is a Win for All Iowans (morningagclips.com) — From Johnston Corn leaders are helping kick off the 2026–27 Iowa Corn Cy-Hawk Series, the annual rivalry that links Hawkeye and Cyclone sports to the state's corn growers. The program highlights how corn shows up in everything from tailgate fuel to food, while promoting farmer stories to the many Iowans who tune in each year.
3. ICGA's Buck testifies at Congress committee (pencitycurrent.com) — From Johnston Corn Growers Association leader and PBPC chair Dr. Alex Buck is urging Congress to expand the agricultural bioeconomy, arguing it can create new markets and jobs for farmers. 4. States sue to block Corteva's split over alleged PFAS liability (agdaily.com) — Johnston is slated to become home base for Vylor, a new seed company at the center of a high-stakes legal fight over alleged PFAS liabilities tied to Corteva and historic DuPont operations. Nineteen states and several cities want a federal judge to pause the corporate split, arguing it could limit money available for environmental cleanup, while Corteva insists the restructuring is fair and growth-focused.
