Iowa Hospice in Johnston in Need of Volunteers

Johnston, IA – Iowa Hospice is looking for caring, supportive and energetic volunteers in the Johnston community and surrounding areas that are available to visit patients in their home or hospice facility. There are several ways volunteers can make a difference, including patient care and bereavement support and there is currently a need for certified pet therapists. Volunteer activities are flexible and can be altered to fit the volunteer’s schedule.

Iowa Hospice was founded in 2005 and provides hospice services to 95 counties throughout Iowa. Iowa Hospice helps patients and families in Dallas, Polk and Warren counties receive physical, social, emotional and spiritual support. These services are available to anyone with a life-limiting illness, regardless of his or her ability to pay.

Volunteer training is required and provided free of charge by Iowa Hospice.
