Annual Madrigal Dinner Set for Nov. 28 and 29; Tickets on Sale Now

The Johnston High School choir hosts the 33rd annual Olde English Madrigal Feaste.

Fresh off the Thanksgiving Holiday, Johnston High School will present the 33rd annual Olde English Madrigal Feaste Nov. 28 and 29.

The evening is a feast for the eyes, ears and stomach as the Great Hall of The Bridge is transformed into a medieval castle for guests to dine on a five-course meal, including flaming pudding served by period-costumed peasants.

Guests will be entertained by the Royal Court with spirited drama, merriment, and dancing.

The Johnston High School choir will sing and play songs of the Renaissance during dinner.

Since 1970, the Johnston High School choir has presented the Madrigal Feaste at the beginning of each holiday season.

Entertainers include the Johnston Chamber Choir, Concert Choir, Women's Choir and students in Synergy Show Choir. The Johnston Middle School ninth-grade chamber choir will entertain guests as they arrive.

The Madrigal Feaste begins at 7:30 both nights, with seating beginning at 6:45 p.m. at The Great Hall of The Bridge, a campus of Meredith Drive Reformed Church, Northwest 62nd Avenue and 100th Street.

Tickets are $30 and can be purchased in the high school accounting office.
