Alert Neighbor Calls Police When Man Cuts Pipe to Sprinkler: Johnston Police Blotter

The Johnston Police Department investigated a number of calls May 2. Take a look at the reports.

Being neighborly came in handy for one Johnston resident.

On May 2, a Johnston resident in the 7700 block of Northwest 104th Court noticed suspicious activity at his neighbor's home.

The resident told police he saw a 30- to 40-year-old white man walking on his neighbor's property and cutting the pipe to the sprinkler system.

Officers took a report. Anyone with information should call the police department at 278-2345.

A boy was charged with disorderly conduct for causing a disruption in a classroom and on the bus at Johnston Middle School.

A 16-year-old boy reported his iPhone was stolen from the locker room at Johnston High School. It was not locked up at the time.
