Miss Iowa Jessica Pray at ELP Event and More Happenings Around Town Wednesday

Friends of Johnston ELP
The Friends of Johnston ELP hosts "The Benefits of Being in ELP Activities" at 7 p.m. at .

The special event features current Miss Iowa and Johnston High School graduate Jessica Pray and her mother, Rita.

Jessica participated in many ELP activities, including History Day and mock trial. She will speak about how participation contributed to her success.

Rita Pray is a former JELP president and will provide a parent's perspective on ELP programs.

Wizard of Oz at JHS
Tickets go on sale today for the Wizard of Oz performance at . Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at the JHS Accounting Office from 7:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 to 3:15 p.m. Performances are at 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 20, 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 21 and 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 22.

Johnston Seniors
Stop by the Johnston Senior Center at Crown Point Community Center for exercise at 10 a.m., sewing and quilting from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and bridge at 11:30 a.m. and games at 1 p.m.
