Camp Dodge to Hold Homecoming Saturday for Soldiers

The Des Moines Business Record reports a homecoming ceremony for about 60 Iowa soldiers is planned for Saturday.

The Iowa Army National Guard unit will return at 1 p.m. at the Freedom Center at Camp Dodge.  It's open to the public. The soldiers are part of 1034th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion deployed in August 2012 as part of Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan. They focused on logistical support including transportation, maintenance, water purification and distribution, fuel distribution, and other missions as assigned. The unit was also deployed in 2006 in Iraq.
