City Of Johnston: CONSTRUCTION AROUND JOHNSTON CITY HALL NEARS COMPLETION

The Johnston Town Center construction in and around the Johnston City Hall is nearing completion! This includes the final touches on the parking, landscaping, signage and artwork. Sod has been installed in The Yard, the large green space west of Johnston City Hall and the splash pad/patio located on the west end of The Yard is nearing completion and is anticipated to officially within the next few weeks. In the winter, this area will be converted into a synthetic ice rink, with ice skate rentals and concessions available. We will be announcing movies at The Yard and other events soon, so please be sure to follow our social media channels and website for details.

Hansen Companies, the City’s development partner in the Johnston Town Center have submitted plans for the first of two commercial buildings to be constructed in the northeast corner of Merle Hay Road and NW 62nd Avenue beginning this fall.  While tenants have not been officially announced yet, they will be shared soon as we are able.

Please “save the date” for Saturday, Aug. 28. for the Johnston Town Center Grand Opening Event.  This will be an afternoon and evening of wonderful events, music and activities for all ages.  More details will be shared within the next month.
