Dragons Defeat Rival J-Hawks, Advance to Second Round of Playoffs Monday
After two overtimes the Dragons came out victorious.

It was a nail-biter to the very end in Johnston Wednesday night.
The Johnston High School Dragons faced arch-rival Urbandale J-Hawks (7-3) in the first round of state football playoffs tonight.
After two overtimes, the Dragons came up with a final touchdown to beat the J-Hawks, 58-55.

To start the second overtime, the J-Hawks scored a field goal moving the score to 55-52.
But Johnston was quick to answer with Marcus Montgomery scoring from 10 yards out to end the game.

The Dragons (6-4) will next face the Valley Tigers on Monday evening.
