eBay Scam Reported: Johnston Police Blotter
The Johnston Police Department investigated a number of calls Nov. 5 and Nov. 6. Take a look at the reports.

Dates below are when the incident was reported or occurred, not when an arrest or charges were filed. Charges do not always result in convictions. Nov. 5
Officers responded to a call of a suspicious person and vehicle near Bisbee Wood and Wire, 6125 Merle Hay Road. Officers found damage to a door and the business owners were notified. They reported an iPad and card reader missing but later found it, nothing further was reported missing.Β
Nov. 6
McCafferty Brandt, 29, was arrested for operating while intoxicated, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
A 41-year-old man reported purchasing an item from eBay that he never received. The item described was a white LCD Epson Powerlite Home Cinema that the victim paid $893.33 for. The seller provided a package number for tracking and when the package arrived inside was only a Christmas card with no message.
