Louis Friestad IV, 31, ofΒ 6582 N.W. 56th St., Johnston, was charged with making a handgun available to a person younger than 21, and neglect or abandonment of a dependent person. Police said Friestad left his gun accessible to his 8-year-old son, and the second-grader took the unloaded weapon to Lawson Elementary School.
A resident in theΒ 6607 block of Gables Way reported that his GPS was stolen from his unlocked vehicle.
