Prom time is just around the corner and that means the After Prom Committee is hard at work planning.

The Committee worked in conjunction with the Bridal Boutique, 412 E. Sixth Street Des Moines, to raise funds for after prom activities.

After a night of dancing with friends, Johnston High School students and their guests are welcome to a safe, fully supervised, substance-free, all-night celebration – After Prom.

The event, which is fully paid for through donations, features food, drinks, games, prizes and entertainment.

The After Prom Committee is asking Johnston families and businesses to consider donating $35 per student to help cover the costs of the event.

If you are able, an extra donation could help families that are unable to give to the event.

In addition, the committee is seeking volunteers the night of the event. A variety of positions are needed.
