Five-Year-Old Suffers Dog Bite: Johnston Police Blotter

An adventure turned painful for a young Johnston resident on April 15.

A five-year-old girl climbed a six-foot fence to get into her neighbor's yard in the 5200 block of Northwest 57th Avenue.

The neighbor's dog, who was loose in the yard, bit the young girl.

A 12-year-old girl was charged with harassment for verbally threatening two members of the staff at Summit Middle School.

Officers took a report of a counterfeit $100 bill that was presented at a bank by two women. The money was not accepted by the bank and the suspects were told they did not know who or where they originally obtained the money.
