Our names are Emily Nguyen and Paige Horner, and we are doing a project at school called Genius Hour. 7th grade students at Summit are trying to better our community and we chose to deal with hunger. Our project is called “Food for A Life,” and we hope many people in Johnston involved with this project and help change Iowa and make it better. Down below is a list of items the food bank needs, you may donate addition items that aren’t listed as well.
MOST NEEDED ITEMS~
High protein items – canned meats (tuna and chicken) and peanut butter
Canned fruit
Canned soup
Cold cereal
100% fruit juice
Paper and personal products – bar soap, diapers, toothpaste, deodorant
We’re also trying to raise money for the food bank, so please get involved with that is you would like! (Email for more info.)

If you do get involved with this project and collect the needed items, please put them in a bag and label it with “Food Bank Items,” and please put the bag in front of your doorstep.
