Former Spouses Throw Down in Property Dispute: Johnston Police Reports

April 24

Students at LaJames International College, 8805 Chambery Blvd., Johnston, reported three suspicious male teenagers in the parking lot behind their building. Damage to one vehicle was later located and attempted entry into another was also observed.

Harley Dean Stanley Jr., 50, 201 S.W. Second St., Des Moines, was arrested in the 6100 block of Merle Hay Road on an outstanding warrant.

April 24

Officers were sent to the 8400 block of Long Meadow on a report of former spouses arguing over property.

April 25

A resident of 6202 Meadow Crest Drive reported someone claiming to be from American Shoppers Award told him he had won money, but the resident first had to purchase a $500 green dot money pack. The victim believes the award is a scam.
