Golf Classic Celebrates Teen's Life, Raises Money for Cameron Carico +10 Foundation
A golf classic will be held to benefit the Iowa Health Des Moines Student Assistance Program.

Family, friends and community members will come together Sept. 22 to celebrate the life of Cameron Carico.
The Cameron Carico Memorial Golf Classic aims to raise money for the Cameron Carico +10 Foundation to benefit Iowa Health Student Assistance Programs.
"Cameron Carico was a special young man who touched everyone who knew him with his infectious smile," the memorial classic flier states of the teen, who committed suicide in January. "He loved his family and friends and wanted to see them healthy and happy. Cameron desired to do whatever he could for those he cared about. He had a strong faith in God and reached out to others to share that joy with them."

The golf classic, which will take place at Bright-Grandview Golf Course in Des Moines, is a four-person scramble with an air horn start at 8 a.m.
The entry fee of $65 includes a T-shirt, lunch and 18 holes with a golf cart. An extra Nike Polo can be purchased for an additional $40.

So far, 84 golfers have registered; organizers are hoping for 144 golfers.
Registration can be done online -- which includes a 12-month subscription to Golf Digest.
There is also an area for people to volunteer to help at the classic, as well as, make monetary donations if unable to attend.
