Grease Fire Closes Johnston Dahl's Restaurant Area
A fire Sunday evening began in the Johnston grocery store's deep fryer.
A grease fire Sunday night has temporarily closed the Johnston restaurant area.
The Des Moines Register reported the fire started around 7 p.m. Johnston, Urbandale and Grimes Fire Departments responded to the call.
officials told the Register the fire was put out using a dry chemical fire extinguisher.

While damage was contained to the deep fryer, shoppers were evacuated, but no one was hurt, The Register reported.
