Hoarders Alert: Johnston Spring Cleanup Starts Monday

Time to get rid of your junk, from broken chairs to old tires, televisions and more. Have your goodies out on the curb by 6 a.m.

Johnston’s spring cleanup will be the week of April 22, according to the city.

Curbside pickup for large items will be April 22 or April 23, on your regularly scheduled pick up day. Have your items curbside by 6 a.m. to ensure your items will be collected.

Curbside pickup
Large items will be picked up curbside on April 22 or 23, on your regular pick up day. These items do not require a sticker for the pickup. Hazardous items are not allowed during the cleanup. You may set televisions curbside for disposal.

Drop off items
Branches will be accepted again this year at the Public Works facility. Dates for branch drop off are as follows:

  • Thursday, April 25, from 7:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.
  • Friday, April 26, from 7:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.
  • Saturday, April  27, from 8 a.m. until noon. 

Passenger tires will be accepted as long as they are not on a rim. Tires may be dropped off Monday, April 22, through Friday, April 26, from 7:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.

The drop-off location is at the Public Works Facility located at 6400 N.W. Beaver Drive.
