How Much Did ChildServe's Run, Walk, and FUN 4 Kids Raise This Weekend?

The annual event raises funds to support children's summer activities.

A quick run and a little fun translated into a big success for last weekend.

The on Saturday drew in more than 1,200 participants and raised a whooping $30,000.

The funds raised will all go toward making sure the children whom are cared for at ChildServe have a great summer.

The funds support summer activities that every child should have a chance to experience such as swimming at the pool, playing baseball, visiting the zoo and trips to Adventureland.

"Many thanks to all the runners, walkers, volunteers and supporters for joining us to help children with special healthcare needs live a great life," ChildServe said in a news release.

In March, ChildServe hosted the , a gala event supporting the organization.

The gala tasked designers with creating avant-garde outfits inspired by children's literature by using bubble wrap.

The event, which included cocktails, dinner and a fashion show, raised $70,000.
