While a heavy topic in recent months, it appears a gas tax hike is unlikely in Iowa this legislative session.
Iowa House Speaker Kraig Paulsen, R-Hiawatha, told "Iowa Press" television show that work on the tax, which would improve roadways, was not working out this year.
