VIDEO: How To Protect Your Johnston Home From Criminals This Spring

While we've all basked in the beautiful warm weather, open windows and garage doors are inviting for criminals.

This video, posted by the City of Johnston, features Lt. Lynn Aswegan of the reviewing simple safety tips for homeowners.

The tips include reminders to not leave your garage doors when not visible to you and to conceal valuables that you leave in your vehicles.

For Johnston residents interested in additional safety measures the Johnston Police Department will host a home security meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 10 at the Johnston Public Library.
