Iowa Veterans Honored at Gold Star Museum's Purple Heart Day
Today in Johnston: Honor veterans as part of Purple Heart Day at Camp Dodge.

Purple Heart Day celebrating Iowa veterans will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 10, at the Iowa Gold Star Military Museum at Camp Dodge.
The event's master of ceremonies is Cmdr. (Ret) Larry Spencer, a Purple Heart recipient and former prisoner of war.
