Is Your Johnston High School Class Having a Reunion This Summer?
Several classes are planning reunions this summer and fall. And grads and former employees are being asked to share video memories of the Johnston school district.
Several classes from the Johnston school district have made plans for reunions this summer and fall, the information is listed below. Also, the alumni group is asking Johnston graduates and former employees to make short video clips of their favorite school memory.
Your Favorite School Memory
Do you have a favorite memory from your days as a student/employee at JCSD? Please send us a short video clip (use that smart phone or camera) via email to alumni@johnston.k12.ia.us.
Please make sure to start out your video by providing your name (maiden name if you have one) and your graduating year. If you were an employee, please provide the building and/or position you held. Please try to keep the video a short snippet. We hope to post these on the website and/or on a DVD with all the favorite memories of Johnston students.
Have more than one favorite memory? Please do a separate video snippet for each memory and email them separately. This will assist with the size of the email message getting through the network.

Centennial All-Class Reunion
As part of the district’s 100-year anniversary, an all-class reunion will be held in the fall of 2014 during homecoming. The date won’t be set until February/March 2014 due to rescheduling of conference games and we will post the dates as soon as they are known. Talk to classmates and family and plan to attend and help celebrate 100 years!
Class of 2008 – Five year reunion
The reunion will take place on Aug. 9, 2013, at 4:30 p.m. at Gray’s Lake in Des Moines. Contact Ariel Landwehr with questions.

Class of 2003 - 10 year reunion
The Class of 2003 10-year reunion will take place Aug. 10, 2013, at Exile Brewing Company in downtown Des Moines. Contact person is Holly Ross at hollymross@gmail.com.
Class of 1993 – 20 year reunion
The reunion will take place the weekend of July 11 and 12, 2013. Contact Tricia Perkins attriciainaz@yahoo.com.
Class of 1963 – 50 year reunion
Class of 1963 50-year reunion will be Sept. 13-15, 2013 at the Holiday Inn on Merle Hay Road. Contact person is Carla Johns at cljohns45@gmail.com.
