It's Never Too Soon to Mark Your Calendar: Holidays in Johnston is Dec. 1

The annual event kicks off the holiday season at the Johnston Public Library.

The holidays are a special time at the Johnston Public Library.

The kickoff for the season will occur on Saturday, Dec. 1 from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. at the annual Holidays in Johnston celebration.

Santa Claus will arrive on the Johnston Fire Department’s ladder truck and will greet all the children. There will be stories and crafts provided by the library, as well as special music by Johnston High School Madrigal singers and the Summit Middle School flute choir. The Johnston Women’s Social Connection members will host the cookie-decorating table, and the Johnston Community Education staff will manage the popular gingerbread house contest.
