Johnston's Beaver Creek Students Learn Ancient Form of Painting

Students at Beaver Creek Elementary learned and experienced Gyotaku last week.

On Feb. 28, students in each grade level learned about the traditional form of Japanese fish printing or rubbing, dating from the mid-19th century. The paintings were used by fisherman to record their catches.
