What's next for proposed facilities in the Johnton school district?
Superintendent Clay Guthmiller is set to give an update and review of facility plans during tonight's Johnston school board meeting.
Guthmiller and other administrators will address the status of the proposed new high school, as well as possible uses for the current high school, Johnston Middle School and Wallace Elementary.

Last year, the board decided to with a new tenth- to 12th-grade high school.
Since then the about 125 acres located west of Northwest 100th Street and north of Northwest 62nd Avenue. The land could be used for the new high school. The price tag of the land was estimated to be $5.75 million.

Other agenda items include:
- Approval of the hire of Joy Wiebers as principal at Summit Middle School effective July 1.
- Discussion of the school improvement advisory committee report. The SIAC completed a prioritization process with the site visit report. The committee listed the recommendations in highest priority.
- Discussion of graduation and dropout rates for 2010-11
- Update on kindergarten enrollment numbers
