Johnston Chamber Partners to Bring Members Annual Legislative Luncheon
Johnston Chamber members will join those from Ankeny, Grimes and Urbandale to hear from local legislatures.

The annual event is presented by the Ankeny, Grimes, Johnston and Urbandale Chambers for a joint legislative luncheon.
"We've done it for quite some time," Heather Goodwin, chamber director said. "It's usually over in November."

The event usually attracts between 100 and 180 people, Goodwin said.
"It's more of them just talking and telling us what's coming up and giving a review of the legislature," she said.

A short time is reserved for the end of speeches for questions from the audience.
"It's a great event to know your legislator and know what's happening the upcoming year," she said. "It think it's a good event."

- Rep. Erik Helland
- Rep. Scott Raecker
- Rep. Kevin Koester
- Sen. Brad Zaun
- Sen. Jack Whitver
- Polk County Supervisor E.J. Giovannetti
The cost of the event is $20 for Chamber members that RSVP and $25 for those that walk-in the day of the event.
