Johnston City Council to Discuss Storm Water Utility

A storm water utility concept and funding will be the focus of a Johsnton City Council work session on Monday.

The council, which meets at 6 p.m for the work session, followed by a regular meeting at 7 p.m., will discuss options for storm water.

The topic of storm water and management was a top issue for several City Council candidates during the Nov. 8 election campaign.

No action will be taken on the issue Monday.

The other item on the work session agenda is an engineering energy audit of city buildings.

The regular meeting agenda includes:

• A public hearing establishing election precincts. Because of the recent census, the city had to re-establish precincts because of population growth.

• Consider resolutions relating to the Adam Ridge Townhomes that would replat 1.5 acres from 24 lots to 19 lots.
