JOHNSTON FARMERS' MARKET NOW OPEN EACH TUESDAY,
WITH MORE AND NEW VENDORS
The Johnston Lions Club sponsors this sweet Market each
Tuesday from 3:30 til 6:30 in the City Hall parking lot, Merle Hay Road and NW
62nd Avenue. New vendors this year inclulde organic producers of beef, chicken,
eggs and vegetables, the East Village Allspice folks, new artists and garden
art, fudge, a new chair massage clinician, amazing bakers, honey producers,
fine crafts, antique and repurposed furniture, BBQ, freshly roasted
nuts and new this year, stuffed pickles! Our Asian growers are back this year
with flowers, and fruit and vegetables.
We hope our neighbors will come each week to see what's
just been picked or baked and meet the hard working vendors who depend on you as
customers. Music is provided most days, and there's a Story Hour each day from
4:30 til 5. Many non-profit neighbors also have a presence and will be happy
to give you information about what's happening in our Community. For questions,
please contact Judy Anderson 278-0939. Proceeds from the Market purchase
trees for Johnston's Residential Tree Program.
