Johnston Farmers' Market: From organic food to one-of-a-kind clothing to specialty foods, an array of offerings are for sale every Tuesday at the market. The vendors are open for business from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the City Hall parking lot on Merle Hay Road. Did we mention the food? From barbecue to nuts to kettle corn, plus fabulous baked goods like cakes, cinnamon rolls, pies and cookies – Yum.

Riding RAGBRAI or heading down to West Des Moines Tuesday to welcome riders?

Valley Junction in West Des Moines will be throwing a RAGBRAI street party today as thousands of cyclists descend on the city. The party will be held from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

If you're in Valley Junction today, make sure to stop by the Patch tent and say hi. Everyone will be there, and we're giving out Patch swag to those who want to sign up for our daily newsletter.
