Johnston Girls' Tennis Squad Qualifies for State Tourney
The Johnston Dragons take on neighboring Urbandale High School Monday.
The 2013 Johnston Girls Tennis team qualified for Monday's state Tournament by defeating Waukee 5-2 on May 18 at Johnston.
The team is led by Coach Ben Knight. Players Sheyna Nathwani, freshman; EmmaGrace Walter, sophomore; Karly Palmer, senior; Payton Kintz, senior; Liera Bender, sophomore; and Eisha Nathwani, sophomore, all qualified for state.
Johnston will play Urbandale at Ankeny in the first round of state on Monday, May 20.
