Johnston High School Baseball Honors Little League Players on Opening Night

The junior varsity and varsity teams take on Ames May 22 in Johnston.

The Johnston High School Baseball team opens the season honoring their youngest fans.

The team opens the season on May 22 by hosting the Johnston Little League.
Johnston Little League players wearing their little league jersey or uniform will be admitted free.

Little League players will have a chance to win autographed player balls, Grand Slam batting tokens, varsity team shirts and hats and more.

One free admission to the Johnston Baseball Camp, held May 29-31, will be awarded to one little league player.

Between the junior varsity and varsity games, the 2008 Junior League World series team will be recognized. This Johnston Little League Team finished 2nd in the United States during the 2008 World Series held in Michigan. Most of the players are now seniors on the Johnston High School team.

The junior varsity game begins at 5:30 p.m. followed by the varsity game at 7:30 p.m. at the fields. The teams both take on Ames.
