Shop Offers Specials on Glasses, Holds Raffle

Usher in spring with an updated look by visiting Lifetime Vision on Thursday.

Shop new frames and sunglasses from 3 to 7 p.m. Vendors will be on hand to display and discuss their full collections.

You can save $80 to $100 on a complete pair of glasses and $40 savings on all non-prescription sunglasses during the event.

Be sure to sign up for a raffle every 30 minutes. Bring a friend and receive a free lens upgrade.

As a bonus a local Mary Kay consultant will be on hand to show off all the latest spring products.

Easter is only a month away, which means it's time for Johnston Eggstravaganza.

Hunt the football field for treats and prizes on Sunday, April 1.

Eggstravaganza is for children 8 years old and younger. The hunt starts at 3 p.m. sharp.

Friends of Johnston ELP
The Friends of Johnston ELP hosts "The Benefits of Being in ELP Activities" on April 11.

The special event features current Miss Iowa and Johnston High School graduate Jessica Pray and her mother, Rita.

Jessica participated in many ELP activities, including History Day and Mock Trial. She will speak about how participation contributed to her success.

Rita Pray is a former JELP president and will provide a parent's perspective on ELP programs.
