Johnston Police Alert Urges Caution When Purchasing Green Days Carnival Tickets
Several thousands of dollars worth of carnival tickets were stolen from the Governor's Day Celebration in Grimes last week.

If you're planning to attend the Green Days Carnival this week, the has a quick warning.
On June 7, several thousand dollars worth of carnival tickets were reportedly stolen from a ticket booth at the Governor's Days celebration in neighboring Grimes.
The Johnston Police Department released an e-alert Wednesday notifying residents of the concern that the suspects may try to sell or scalp the stolen tickets to unsuspecting victims at the Johnston Green Days celebration.

The stolen tickets are no longer valid and will not be honored at the Green Days carnival, the e-alert said.

Johnston Police recommend that those planning to attend Green Days purchase their tickets directly from the Green Days carnival ticket booth.
