Burglars Likely Broke in Front Door of House

Johnston Police officers responded to a burglary call at 2:45 p.m. Feb. 3 in the 6200 block of Country Ridge Lane.Β 

It appeared the burglar broke the front door and entered the house while the homeowner was away.

During the initial investigation, the homeowners did not report any missing items, officials said.

Feb. 7
Angelo Cresta, 20, was arrested on an outstanding warrant.

Feb. 6
Michael Crahan, 18, was arrested for assaulting his father in the 5700 block of Winwood Drive.

A 20-year-old woman reported her Mastercard was stolen and fraudulent charges were made in the 6100 block of Glenn Circle.

Feb. 4
, 6110 Merle Hay Road, reported a man tried to pass off counterfeit $10 bills.

Feb. 2
Artan Bungu, 24, turned himself in to the Johnston Police Department on an outstanding warrant.

A 71-year-old man reported being scammed out of money when a man identified himself as a family member needing money because he had been arrested. The Johnston Police Department recently regarding a phone scam aimed at older residents.

Jan. 31
An employee atΒ , 5340 N.W. Beaver Drive, reported that a man attempted to purchase items with a bad check. Employee refused to take the payment.

Jan. 30
A 17-year-old boy was charged with possession of alcohol at Johnston High School.
