Johnston Police Blotter: Fraudulent Credit Charges and Thefts

The Johnston Police Department answered several calls ranging from credit card and check fraud to verbal disputes.

Nov. 9
Officers responded to the 6200 block of Northwest 95th Street on a call of domestic disturbance between an ex-wife and ex-husband.

A male juvenile was charged with simple assault for fighting at Johnston High School.

A 41-year-old woman reported over $600 in unauthorized charges on her Bank of the West Mastercard at sears.com.

Nov. 8
Charter Bank reported a 27-year-old female opened an account with a check that came back on a closed account.

Nov. 7
A 71-year-old woman reported damage to an outdoor patio chair in the 5900 block of South Winwood Drive.

Chapel Ridge Townhomes, 6200 Clark Lane, reported that someone had kicked in the door of their maintenance room and a cell phone was missing.

A 40-year-old woman reported her cell phone was stolen from El Mariachi, 5825 Merle Hay Road, where she left it.

Nov. 6
A 39-year-old woman reported an unauthorized charge of $425 on her credit card in the 6000 block of Northwest 98th Street.

Officers were called to the Stoney Creek Inn about an argument between a husband and wife. No charges were filed.

Nov. 4
A 37-year-old woman was charged with purchasing about $330 in items from the Walgreens, 6200 Merle Hay Road, with a fraudulent check.Β 

Employees of A+ Flat Top Concrete reported a hand saw was stolen from the back of a pick-up truck in the 4600 block of Northwest 62nd Avenue.

Judy Elaina Kligopoulos, 30, was arrested on an outstanding Polk County warrant.

Justin Decker, 23, was cited for his dog running at large in the 5600 block of Northwest 57th Avenue.
