The Johnston Police Department investigated a number of calls from Jan. 5 to Jan. 10. Take a look at the reports.

Police Looking Into Shots Fired Jan. 8

The Johnston Police Department investigation continues into an incident involving gunfire.

Officers responded to the 6800 block of Eagle Ridge Drive on the morning of Jan. 8 after residents in the area reported finding spent shell casings. The residents reported hearing what they thought to be gunfire the night before.

Jan. 10
An employee of Casey's General Store, 5340 N.W. Beaver Drive, reported a customer attempted to use counterfeit money for a purchase.

Angela Stackhouse, 35, was arrested for operating while intoxicated, open container and interference with official acts in the area of Merle Hay Road and Pioneer Parkway.

An employee of Youth Homes of Mid America reported a runaway.

Jan. 9
An employee of Super Lube Service Center, 5358 Merle Hay Road, reported quarters were stolen from a coin-operated machine at the car wash.

Jan. 7
A 45-year-old woman was arrested for domestic assault in the 7100 block of Northwest 95th Court.

Christa Hirayama, 33, was arrested on an outstanding warrant in the 9400 block of Northwest 54th Avenue.

Officers responded to a call of domestic disturbance in the 8400 block of Blackstone.

Paul Shay, 21, was charged with possession of marijuana, operating while intoxicated, no insurance and improper use of lanes in the area of Meredith Drive and Merle Hay Road.

Jan. 6
Officers took an informational report in reference to a property dispute between a man and woman living in the same residence in the 8600 block of Crescent Chase.

Jan. 5
Officers responded to a possible domestic dispute between a father and daughter having a loud argument in the 10500 block of Providence Drive.

Karen Cox, 59, was arrested for possession of drugs and driving while barred after a traffic stop in the 4900 block of Merle Hay Road.
