Johnston Police Blotter: OWIs and Mischief Reported During Halloween Weekend
The Johnston Police Department was busy over the holiday weekend responding to calls of juvenile mischief and traffic stops.

Oct. 31
Raheem Ende, 19, and James Harris, 19, were charged with providing alcohol to minors in the 6200 block of Clark Lane. Wyatt Parker, 20, was charged with interfering with official acts.
Representatives with the Johnston Lions Club reported damage to grass and a dead tree. Damage was estimated at no more than $200.
Jasmin Velasco, 26, was charged with animals running at large after her two pit bulls chased a neighbor's cat in the 5300 block of Northwest 62nd Avenue.
Oct. 30
Michael Sater, 28, was charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia and speeding in the 5300 block of Northwest Beaver Drive.
Thomas Beall, 42, was arrested with driving while barred and cited for improper registration and no insurance along Interstate 80.
Youth Homes of Mid America reported a runaway. The male juvenile was later located and returned.
Joseph Bulens, 25, was charged with operating while intoxicated and speeding in the 6500 block of Merle Hay Road.
Oct. 29
Lauren Helmer, 24, was charged with simple domestic assault in the 6100 block of Meadow Crest Drive.
Three juveniles were charged with criminal mischief after throwing paintballs at several homes in the 6800 block of Northwest Beaver Drive.
Oct. 28
A 42-year-old man reported a man in a vehicle pointed a gun when asked to turn down his music. The man in the vehicle left the area of the 6600 block of Gables Way.
Employees at Hy-Vee, 5750 Merle Hay Road, reported two females shoplifted $25 in merchandise.
