Johnston Police Blotter: Traffic Stop Leads to Several Drug Charges

Feb. 23
A 41-year-old woman reported she was the victim of an internet scam and bank fraud.

A traffic stop led to Kendra McCarthy, 20, being charged with operating while intoxicated, possession of marijuana to deliver and failure to affix drug tax stamp. A female juvenile was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to delver, possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to affix drug tax stamp.

Feb. 22
A 32-year-old man was told to have no contact with a 21-year-old woman who reported receiving harassing text messages.
