Johnston Police Scramble to Calls of Eggs Pelting Vehicles

The Johnston Police Department investigated a number of calls from Feb. 23 to March 1. Take a look at the reports.

Several Reports Made of Eggs Being Tossed at Cars, House

Eggs were the weapon of choice in several Johnston crimes last week.

The responded to three cases of "eggings" in the last week.

On Feb. 25, a 44-year-old woman reported her vehicle was hit by eggs while driving on Northwest 86th Street near Beaver Creek Elementary School.

The damage to her vehicle was estimated at $300.

A second driver reported being struck with eggs in the same area, but the owner chose not to make a report.

On Feb. 26, a 32-year-old man reported his home had been struck with eggs in the 4800 block of Rose Circle.

No charges have been filed.

March 1
Officers stopped to assist two men who were on the interstate and had run out of gas. One man was arrested an outstanding warrant.

Feb. 29
Bradley Faber, 23, was arrested for driving while suspended and his vehicle was impounded in the 5000 block of Merle Hay Road.

A 51-year-old man was charged with trespassing on his neighbor's property, in the 5600 block of Northwest 61st Place, for allegedly taking cans from the garbage can.

Clark Wheeler, 24, was charged with operating while intoxicated and speeding in the area of Nothwest 66th Avenue and Northwest Beaver Drive.

Feb. 27
Teresa Richardson, 51, was arrested on an outstanding Clarke County warrant and cited for driving while revoked after being stopped in the area of Brandywine Drive and Kings Row.

A 36-year-old woman reported being the victim of fraud involving an item she was trying to sell on Craigslist, valued at $436.

Feb. 26
Youth Homes of Mid America reported a runaway. The teen returned on his own later in the evening.

A 37-year-old woman reported her medication was stolen in the 6000 block of Glenn Circle. She believes her boyfriend stole the medication.

Spencer Shaw, 24, was arrested on an outstanding warrant.

Feb. 25
Brady Maronn, 31, was arrested for operating while intoxicated in the area of Nothwest 66th Avenue and Northwest Beaver Drive.

Feb. 23
A female student at Johnston Middle School reported receiving harassing text messages from a male student.

Two Johnston Middle School juveniles were charged with disorderly conduct for fighting at school.
