Johnston Police Seek Community's Help in Shoplifting Investigation

The Johnston Police Department issued an alter seeking help identifying a man possibly involved in shoplifting.

The is asking the community to help identify a person in connection with a shoplifting investigation.

The incident occurred at a Johnston Store on Dec. 14.

According to the police report, three young men entered the store at 5225 N.W. 86th St.

Before leaving the store the man pictured is alleged to have picked up a 24-pack of beer and left the store without paying.

It is believed the three men left the area in a silver-colored vehicle.

Witnesses described the man pictured as between 16 and 20 years old with a stocky build.

The department is trying to identify the man so he can be questioned about any possible knowledge or involvement he may have in the case.

Anyone with information about the identity and/or whereabouts of the person in the photo is asked to contact Johnston Police Detective Travis Hamilton at 252-1365 or the Polk County Crime Stoppers at 223-1400.
