Johnston Police Seek Community's Help in Kum & Go Cigarette Theft
The Johnston Police Department released an alert regarding a reported theft of cigarettes from a local Kum & Go store.
The is asking for the community's help in identifying someone for questioning in a recent theft.
According to the report, at about 9:10 a.m. May 18 a man asked to purchase a carton of Marlboro cigarettes from the Kum & Go at 5225 N.W. 86th St.
When the cashier placed the carton on the counter, the man picked it up and fled the store on foot.

The clerk chased after the suspect but was unable to catch him.
Witnesses described the suspect as a male, about 18 years old with a facial goatee and wearing shorts with a dark colored zip-up hoodie sweatshirt.

The Johnston Police Department is attempting to identify this person so that he can be questioned regarding any possible knowledge or involvement he may have in the incident.
