Reminder: Johnston Schools Begin Kindergarten Registration Tonight

With the start of second semester, officials are already beginning to look at the 2012-13 school year.

The district is holding registration for new kindergarten students at 6:30 p.m. tonight.

Will your child be five years old on or before Sept. 15, 2012?

If so, stop by any elementary school to register for the fall semester.

Open enrollment students are welcome at the meetings. Specific building requests will be considered, but open-enrolled students will be placed based on class size and room availability.

Please bring the following items to registration:

• Proof of your legal address or residence
• Your child's birth certificate
• Immunization record
