Johnston to Form Sister City Tie with Peja, Kosovo
A delegation from the Eastern European country of Kosovo will arrive in Johnston Tuesday for a visit that will formalize a Sister City agreement.

The City of Johnston will welcome a delegation from Peja, Kosovo, April 23-26, according to a news release from Johnston City Hall.
Mayor Paula Dierenfeld, City Council members, business, school, and community leaders will meet with the delegation and tour sites throughout the Johnston area.

The purpose of the visit is to establish a sister city relationship with Peja, a city with a population of 85,000, located about 50 miles west of the Kosovo capital city of Pristina.
On April 25, Johnston Mayor Dierenfeld and Peja Mayor Ali Berisha will sign a Sister City agreement following the Johnston Chamber of Commerce luncheon at the .
