Johnston Police Seek Community's Help in Identifying Man

The is asking the community to help identify a person in connection with a criminal investigation.

The man pictured is part of an investigation involving several bad checks that have been passed in Johnston and neighboring cities.

According to a police report, an account holder claims checks have been stolen and forged on their bank account.

The Johnston Police Department is attempting to identify the man so he can be questioned about knowledge or involvement he may have in the case.

Anyone with information about the identity and/or whereabouts of the person in the photo is asked to contact Johnston Police Detective Travis Hamilton at 252-1365 or the Polk County Crime Stoppers at 223-1400.

The notice was sent as part of the Johnston Police Department's new I.D. ME Program.

The program uses the department's website to post images in hopes of identifying persons of interest in local case investigations.
