Kum & Go Reports $5,000 in Pre-Paid Cards Compromised: Johnston Police Blotter

The Johnston Police Department investigated a number of calls Sept. 1. Take a look at the reports.

Aug. 30
A 21-year-old woman was arrested for soliciting without a permit in the 5200 block of Northwest 66th Avenue.

Steven Nichol, 43, was arrested for operating while intoxicated and carrying a weapon after a traffic stop in the 8600 block of Northwest 62nd Avenue. Nichol was also cited for speeding.

Sept. 1
Employees at Kum & Go, 6130 N.W. 86th St., reported that an unknown person had obtained the card information on six Vanilla Visa prepaid cards and four GreenDot prepaid cards that activated them. The loss to the company was about $5,000.
