Lady Dragons End Season on High Note at State Cross Country Meet
The Johnston Dragons girls' cross country team recorded a new best team score on Saturday in Fort Dodge.
The Lady Dragons cross country team went out on a high note at the state cross country meet in Fort Dodge Saturday.
"The ran together as a team and for their beloved Coach Hennes and the results speak for themselves," said coach Chris Siewert. "All seven of the ladies ended up with a seasonβs best time."
The team finished in seventh place with 186 points, three sports lower than they were ranked coming into the meet.

Six of the seven girls made or moved spots on the top ten record board, Siewert said.
The team score of 14:58 is the fastest in school history, surpassing the old time of 15:11 in 2007.

"Our ladies are excited for next year and eager to show they can do better," he said.
