Lawson Students Jump Rope For Heart

Student performed special challenges during the class.

Students at Lawson Elementnary jumped for heart health this month.

During their physical education classes participated in the American Heart Association Jump Rope For Heart program.

Schools from all over the county participate in the fundraiser to raise money for research and public health education.

"We are amazed at some of the skills the kids have learned while we have been jumping," said Steve Daugherty, p.e. teacher at Lawson.

Students could perform skills and mark them off on large sheets paper.

  • to jump front cross two times in a row.
  • to jump backward cross two times in a row
  • to do the double jump - rope going around two times with one jump
